Unfortunate information to report: Teacher Arrested on Charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor Story Posted: 08-12-2002 at 1:44 PM Last Modified: 08-12-2002 at 1:44 PM A history teacher at a Phoenix high school has been arrested for allegedly possessing sexually exploitive pictures of young girls. Phoenix police spokesman Tony Morales says 51-year-old Morton Berger was booked into jail on 35 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. He says the charges involve possessing and exchanging Internet pictures of girls between the ages of eight and 15. Morales says officials don't believe that any of the girls were students at Cortez High School, where Berger worked. But he says there might be victims who haven't stepped forward yet. Cortez does look good, though the number enrolled is down by about 40%. Good people ar still graduating from our alma mater, but the admin could use some improvement. They're too worried about getting sued, and not enough about student learning. I hope you are doing well. I wish that the 79 reunion info was accessible on a website, instead of just an 800 number.
