Whether you’re a student looking to move away from home and study in a livelier area while at University, or a young professional looking to move to the city in order to find that dream career, it can be difficult trying to put a finger on where maybe the best place to relocate. Leisure and fun might not be something that you prioritize when planning your future seriously, but it is important to try and visualize an area that you can see yourself being happy in, as wellbeing is as important as career fulfillment, or any other factor for that matter.

The city that never sleeps might reside in the USA, but there are also a healthy amount of cities in the UK that have their fair share of vibrant nightlife. Here are some of the best cities in the UK for a night out.

Liverpool

Liverpool is a northern city with a lot of heart, and with a student population of around 70,000, you are guaranteed to find a wide variety of bars to suit your personal taste. One great example is the Alma de Cuba, a converted Catholic church within walking distance of the city center that has a great cocktail menu and also some delicious options for food.

Liverpool’s bar scene also extends far outside of the city center. Not only is the university sector an exciting area, with plenty of bars for students looking to socialize after their lectures and seminars, but the Baltic Triangle area also has an eclectic selection of bars and restaurants too. The latter is beginning to become a desired area for both tenants and those looking to invest, as it shows great promise, being Liverpool’s tech sector going forward. RW Invest is one of the many property investment companies offering apartment space in this area going forward, giving investors the option to satiate tenant demand.

Manchester

Another northern city filled to the brim with culture, Manchester is again a city with a great nightlife for young people. Fun and inclusive, Manchester’s selection of bars continue to impress, and again the city’s young student demographics mean that the streets are guaranteed to be lively.

Fancy a laugh? The Comedy Store is rated at number five of 210 in Manchester on TripAdvisor for nightlife attractions and holds host to a range of both established and up-and-coming comics. Get the drinks in, but be careful not to sit in the front row!

London

A list of the best cities in the UK for a night out wouldn’t be complete without the capital city, London, home to some of the most prestigious and well-known landmarks in the country; the city also spouts some of the most enjoyable bars and evening attractions. Beware, though, this southern powerhouse might cost you a few more quid than the two above northern options.

London’s ‘West End’ has an incredibly diverse mix of theatre performances on over throughout different points each year, and can be an amazing change of pace if you decide you want to swap pint for the program. Next year, stage and screen legend Ian McKellen (famous for his roles in films such as The Lord of the Rings) is bringing a one-man performance to the Harold Pinter theatre. The solo act will consist of some of his most memorable Tolkien monologues and Shakespearean soliloquies. To buy, or not to buy? That is the question.
