There’s not been an awful lot to get excited about this year, has there? That is, except for all of the frankly awesome video games that have been released!
There’s nothing quite like a good video game to help you forget all of your troubles and keep you entertained. This Christmas, we’re all in for a treat with some of the fantastic titles that have been released.
World Of Warcraft: Shadowlands (PC)
The newest expansion to the ever-popular World of Warcraft series is the fastest-selling PC game ever! It was first released on 23 November, and it sold 3.7 million copies on that day alone.
World of Warcraft is an MMO that allows multiple people across the world to play together on an online map.
The expansion introduces brand new characters and maps, even allowing players to travel to the afterlife.
Spider-Man Miles Morales (Playstation)
The newest Spider-Man game is available both on the Playstation 4 and on the brand new Playstation 5 (if you can get hold of one!)
It sees a change from previous games because you play as Miles Morales rather than playing as Peter Parker. You’ll shoot webs and crawl up walls as you might expect, but additionally, you’ll be able to use venom blast and incapacitate enemies with electricity.
The game has rave reviews already, definitely not one to be missed.
Assassins Creed Valhalla
Released on 10 November, Assassins Creed Valhalla is the twenty-second release in the Assassin’s Creed series and the twelfth major installment.
It is set during the Viking invasion of Britain, and you will assume control of a Viking raider called Eivor.
It has been released on Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox series X, Microsoft Windows, and Stadia. If you’re thinking of getting it as a Christmas gift for someone this year, but you aren’t sure whether or not they already have it, why not get an Xbox Gift Card from https://www.giftsvouchers.co.uk/gift-cards/xbox so you’ll know that they can get a game they really want!
Mario Kart Live – Home Circuit (Nintendo Switch)
The 35th Mario game released by Nintendo looks like great fun for people of all ages, as you might expect!
The idea is that you create a Mario Kart track in your own home, using the gates that come with the game. You then drive a remote-controlled car through the four gates, and whatever path the car takes – this becomes the track that you race on in the game.
A fantastic way to keep expanding your Mario Kart game and creating new tracks to challenge your friends.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time
Anyone born in the eighties or early nineties probably adored Crash Bandicoot on the Playstation One!
Since then, the game’s simple platform-style has not changed much, and that is what its fans love about it. It’s available on Playstation 4 and Xbox One, so snap up a copy to enjoy while you’re digesting your second helping of Christmas Dinner!
