
Traditionally at the end of summer, New York City starts the final tennis Grand Slam tournament of the year – the US Open which cannot fail to please fans of sports betting. This time its date will be from August 29 to September 11.
US Open organizers have published the entry tournament list
The US Open will be the last Grand Slam tournament of the season. Previously there were three other Majors
- Australian Open;
- Roland Garros;
- Wimbledon.
According to the rules of Grand Slam tournaments, all admitted players are automatically included in the main draw of the men’s and women’s singles tournaments according to their ranking 42 days before the first Monday of the competition.
Russian and Belarusian players will play the tournament under a neutral flag. Earlier, Ukrainian tennis star Elina Svitolina was outraged by the admission of players from the aggressor countries to the US Open.
Date of the US Open 2022
The US Open will be held for the 142nd time in 2022 and will traditionally be played on a hard court. The US Open concludes the series of Grand Slam tournaments. This year it will take place from 29 August to 11 September, the venue always remains the same – New York City.
The athletes will play on the courts of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Court. The main draw is preceded by a qualifying tournament, which begins a week earlier. Last year Emma Raducanu of Great Britain topped the women’s singles standings.

US Open 2022 prize money
The US Open prize money is traditionally the biggest of all the Grand Slam tournaments. In 2021 it totals a record $57,462,000. Officially, the prize money for 2022 is not yet known, but it will definitely rise and exceed $60,000,000. Usually, prize money in the men’s and women’s singles is about 70 percent of the total. Last year, the money was distributed as follows.
