As a society, it appears we can’t get enough of celebrities. We love to hear about, read about them, and watch them in a myriad of shows where they entertain us with their anecdotes as they enjoy their fame and wealth, showing us another world that we can only dream about.
There are some celebrities, personalities, and stars that might fall into the category of ‘love to hate,’ and with these types of people, a lot of the attention from the general public is not unlike the kind of reaction you might get to a car crash, where there is a perverse need to know precisely what they are doing with their messed up lives.
With these primadonnas, nothing is predictable, and a downward slide is apparently always just around the corner. We are talking about the type of big names for whom it’s impossible to make celebrity predictions in 2022 simply because these stars don’t quite know where they’ll end up when the music stops.
Then there are those A-Listers, and these can be individuals or even couples that just seem to engender something a whole lot more positive. They might be well-grounded stars that just don’t seem to make a big deal of their status or may even carry themselves in such a way that suggests they are just like you and me.
In this field, there are a number of celebrity pairings that we can’t get enough of, married couples of partners that we just love to check in on from time to time.
Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson
Let’s face it; everyone loves Tom Hanks. He basically can’t miss, and his long-term relationship with Rita Wilson, they’ve been married for 34 years, is one we can all get behind. They met in the early 80s when they appeared on the TV show Bosom Buddies and also in the 1985 movie Volunteers.
They have two sons and also produce projects together, and there is unmistakably joy that envelopes us all when they are together at a film premiere or on the red carpet during awards season.
Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds
This hot Hollywood couple is A-List through and through. Reynolds is, of course, the star of the Deadpool series and a host of other massive hits, and Lively first hit the big time as a star on teen TV drama Gossip Girl.
This easy-going couple is always a blast, and they first met when starring together on Reynolds flop Green Lantern (the less said about that movie, the better) in 2010, and they started dating soon after.
They were married in 2021 and had three gorgeous daughters, and are always entertaining when interviewed together. They don’t take themselves too seriously, and that’s a nice aura to have in Hollywood, where far too many people believe their own hype and egos are enormous.
John Krasinski & Emily Blunt
Star of the office Krasinski and Emily Blunt are not only a couple we love to hear about, but they may just be the best-looking pair in the film business. They met in 2008 and married in Como, Italy, in 2010.
They have two daughters and clearly like to work together. The pair proved a massive success in their joint project, A Quiet Place, with Krasinski being the director and co-writer of the project and Blunt being the lead. We won’t ruin it but suffice to say, only one of the pair gets to the end of the movie unscathed.
Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell
As far as long-term successful Hollywood relationships go, this might be the champions of all champions. Hawn and Russell have been together since 1983 but somewhat surprisingly haven’t actually tied the knot. It’s unclear as to why this is the case, but the fact that both had previously been married, Hawn twice, perhaps they don’t want to tempt fate.
Regardless of their marital status, it appears the two are inseparable and have been a joy to behold for the decades they’ve been together. They share one child, and both have children from their previous spouses.
Tom Brady & Gisele Bundchen
As if being a seven-time Super Bowl winner wasn’t enough, Tom Brady has a supermodel wife and two children. Gisele Bundchen is, of course, hugely successful in her own right, and perhaps that’s what makes this marriage a real success. Having two super successful people in a relationship helps to keep things on an even keel.
The pair are magazine cover material and have been together since 2006 after they were set up on a blind date. Can you imagine the moment when they met? We are not entirely sure how a blind date between two incredibly famous and outrageously attractive people would work, but we are entirely behind it.
Jay-Z and Beyonce
When it comes to iconic celebrity couples that are masters of their own particular realms, it frankly doesn’t get any bigger than Jay-Z and Beyonce. The pair are frighteningly talented, and their individual list of accomplishments is enough to make you weep, and it turns out that they work just fine as a pair.
Jay-Z is, of course, a hugely successful recording artist and producer and has previously been on Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world; Beyonce is, without doubt, one of the biggest singers of her, or any, generation. By all accounts, they started their relationship back in 2002 and married in a low-key ceremony in 2008 (which is the classy way to do it), and they have three gorgeous children to top it all off.
